Nobility crown FeoApellido de origen portugués, que se estableció en Canarias después de la Conquista. Su primitivo solar lo tuvo en las inmediaciones del Monasterio de Feanes, de la Orden de San Benito, en Portugal. Hubo dos ramas principales de este linaje: la de Martín Til el F., que procedía del linaje de los Ataídes y la de Rui Fernández el F. de Valdorna. En el lugar de Flaria, de la isla de Lanzarote, radicó otra familia de este apellido, de la que fue Luis González F. Betancourt, natural de la villa, que casó con Doña Rita Rodríguez Figueroa, nacida en la Geria, también de Lanzarote, siendo padres de: Francisco F. Rodríguez Figueredo, natural tambíen de Flaria, que a su vez casó con Doña María de la Condelaria de Armas Román, natural de Lanzarote. Su hijo José F. de Armas, contrajo matrimonio con Doña Antonia Betancourt y Ayala, siendo progenitores de Víctor F. y Betancourt, de Lanzarote, Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, en la que ingresó el 14 de junio de 1836. Según se expresa documentalmente, el primero de este nombre que vino a Canarias, fue el capitán Pedro F. "privado del Rey de Portugal", que acompañó a Diego de Silva en sus incursiones por Lanzarote, Fuerteventura y Gran Canaria, apoderándose en una de éstas de la población de Telde. Don Víctor F. Bethencourt, ingresó en la Orden de Carlos III en 1836. ...
