Trae origine questa linea da Luigi (nato Alessandria, 3 novembre 1833, defunto ivi 7 giugno 1904), secondogenito del conte Giovanni Sebastiano Figarolo. Fu deputato per tre legislature (IX-XV-XVI), quindi venne nominato il 10 ottobre 1892 senatore del Regno. Con R. D. del 21 dicembre 1865 fu autorizzato di aggiungere al proprio il cognome Tarino, e con R. D. motu propio del 17 giugno 1894 e successive RR. LL. PP. del 30 dicembre, ebbe la concessione del titolo di conte. La famiglia é iscritta nel Libro d'Oro della Nobiltà Italiana e nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobile Italano coi titoli di Conte (mpr.), Nobile dei Conti di Gropello (mf.), in persona di Bonifazio, di Luigi, di Giovanni.
