Linaje catalán de nobleza inmemorial con solar en el lugar de Fluviá, en Guissona, partido judicial de Cervera (Lérida). Se trasladaron en el siglo XV a San Esteban de Palautordera, partido judicial de Arenys de Mar (Barcelona) y más tarde a la ciudad de Barcelona. Fueron señores de F., de San Juan de Campins y de San Julián del Montseny. Otros se establecieron en Valencia y Cartagena. Otra casa hubo en Olot (Gerona) ennoblecida en 1802 por el rey Carlos IV al conceder privilegio de ciudadano honrado de Barcelona a Ramón F. y Pastell. Ramón de F. se halló en las Navas de Tolosa, con el conde de Urgel. De él descendió en Cataluña, Alejo de F. y de Tord, esposo de doña María de Aguilar y de Brossa, y ambos padres de doña Cecilia de F., que casó con Francisco de Olzinelles, de la casa de este linaje en Lérida. Antonio de F. fue comendador de Cervera-Ametlla, en la Orden de San Juan, desde 1436 a 1451; de Puigreig, desde 1438 a 1443, y murió siendo gran maestre de la Orden en Rodas, donde hizo construir las murallas de la ciudad. En 1832 falleció sin sucesión en jefe de la línea primogénita don Ramón de F. y de Berart, barón de Esponellá. ...
