Nobility crown FolcoiFamille d'ancienne chevalerie. On trouve son nom diversement écrit Folcois ou Folcoi. Le cartulaire de Chancelade en fait mention dès les XIIème et XIIIème siècles. On voit que Raimond et Anselme Folcois, frères, chevaliers, Pierre Folcois, chevalier de Bruzac, et Hélie, aussi chevalier, furent présents à la donation faite à cette abbaye, vers 1200, par Robert Foucauld, chevalier. Le même Pierre, chevalier de Bruzac, fit un don à la même abbaye, vers 1217, pour le repos de l'àme de Pierre, son frère. Le cartulaire de l'abbaye de Dalon fait aussi mention de deux frères de ce nom, Raimond et Hélie Folcois, chevaliers, lesquels furent témoins, en 1200, avec Jean de Laurières, d'une charte de Jaubert Flamenc. Le 6 des ides de juin 1257, Raymond Folcois, chevalier de Montagrier, transigea avec Mathieu de Chabans, damoiseau d'Agonac, à raison de la dot d'Almoïs Folcois, sa soeur. Deuxième transaction le 11 des calendes de décembre 1277, avec le même Raymond et Bernard, son fils, sur un différend au sujet de la succession de feu Bernard Folcois, chevalier et des biens de Aimeric, chapelain de Montagrier, et Aloïs Folcois, religieuse de Ligueux, oncle et tante d'Almoïs, femme de Mathieu de Chabans (Notes de M.
