Possuiu grande fazenda em Carrião e na Galiza e de sua primeira mulher, D. Aldonça Ordonhes, filha do Infante D. Ordfonho, o Cego, teve D. Paio Pais, rico-homem de Castela, senhor de Paramo de la Tocera e de muitas terras em Carrião, casado com D. Maior Gonçalves. D. Fruela Pais, seu filho, teve muitas terras no concelho de Somiedo e de Paramo de la Tocera, havendo do matrimónio D. Paio Froilas, senhor da Casa e senhorios que passuíam nas Astúrias, de Torrede e Coniança (mais tarde Valença de D. João). Seguiu o partido da Rainha D. Urraca contra o Rei D. Afonso II, por cujo motivo lhe confiscaram a maior dos bens. Casou com D. Maria Rodrigues Osório, filha de D. Rodrigo Martins Osório, filha de D. Rodrigo Martins Osório, nascendo do matrimónio D. Fruela Pais, que depois de viver na Galiza alguns anos, veio para Portugal e aqui teve os senhorios de Maiorca e Alhadas, hoje no concelho da Figueira da Foz. Recebeu-se duas vezes, a primeira na Galiza, dela ficando geraçao que seguiu o patronímico com a forma de Flores; a segunda, em Portugal, com Godinha Cides, da Coimbra, filha ou irmã de Gonçalo Cides. ...
