The clear nobility of this House in Spain is also confirmed by its presence in the prestigious and fundamental heraldic work "Repertorio de blasones de la comunidad hispánica - letras D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-LL" by Vicente De Cadenas y Vicent (29 April 1915 – 21 December 2005) who was a Cronista Rey de Armas ("Chronicler King of Arms") of the Kingdom of Spain. As mentioned, however, the family first had noble origins in Malta, descending from the Sicilian-Arab emirs.
