Nobility crown GanzerlaAntica famiglia dell'Emilia Romagna, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. L'origine di tal cognominizzazione, al dir di illustri genealogisti, andrebbe ricercata in un soprannome, basato, a sua volta, sul termine dialettale "sganzerla" (= spilungone), probabilmente, riferito alla statura di un, oggi ignoto, capostipite. In ogni modo, tal casato, verosimilmente, venne fregiato del cavalierato, in seguito alla partecipazione, connotata da coraggio ed onore, sotto i vessilli della Santa Lega, di un Pietro Ganzerla, ai celebri fatti d'armi della Guerra di Cipro. Ma, d'altronde, la famiglia, sempre, riuscì a distinguersi, grazie agli elevati personaggi, a cui diede i natali. Tra questi, senza nulla levar al valore degli omessi, ricordiamo: Michelangelo, eloquentissimo dottor di legge, vivente in Modena, nel 1467; Francesco, ingegnere camerale in Milano, nel 1494; Alfonso, consigliere di duca Pierluigi Farnese; Martino, notaio ducale, vivente nel 1521; Gilberto, maestro di campo, arruolato nell'esercito ...
