Nobility crown GilbertNoble y antiguo linaje de caballeros mesnaderos de Aragón, cuyo origen se pierde en la antigüedad. Ya en 1348 florecía Pedro G., que, abandonando la Unión de Aragón, de la que había formado parte, se sometió a la autoridad del Rey don Pedro IV. Este mismo caballero, acompañó en 1354 al citado Monarca en su excursión a la isla de Cerdeña, para castigar a los rebeldes. Otro Pedro G. Brun, vecino de Daroca, defendió con gran tesón a esta villa en 1361 contra las tropas del Rey don Pedro I de castilla, y Martín G., asistió por el brazo de infanzones, a las Cortes de 1380. A las de 1428 asistieron Pedro G., Procurador del Conde de Luna, y Juan G., que representaba el brazo de caballeros. Estos dos mismos nobles fueron designados en las Cortes de 1436 para estudiar las incidencias que surgían en la guerra contra Castilla. Otro Pedro G., fué Señor de la villa de Plenas, del partido judicial de Belchite (Zaragoza), y en 1460 se halló en la jura del Rey don Juan II. Miguel G., fué, en 1452, Capitán de una Compañía de Caballos por la Corte de Aragón, en la guerra contra Castilla. Era Señor de la villa de Alfajarín (Zaragoza), y asistió a la jura del citado Rey don Juan II en 1460. En 1463 era Diputado del Reino por el brazo de nobles. Juan G., Arcediano de Teruel, asistió a las Cortes de 1460; Pedro G. poseyó el Señorío de Torrecilla de Alcañiz (Teruel), y Juan G. asistió, en 1502, a la jura de la Princesa doña Juana. ...
