En el concejo de Galdames, que hoy pertenece al partido judicial de Valmaseda (Vizcaya), en su parroquia de San Pedro, hubo una casa solar denominada de G. de Soberrón, a la que pertenecÃa a fines del siglo XVI, un caballero llamado AgustÃn G. de Soberrón, que contrajo matrimonio con doña MarÃa de Arce, y fueron padres de Santiago G. de Soberrón y Arce, esposo de doña Juana de la Sota Garay, de quien tuvo a Francisco G. de Soberrón y de la Sota, nacido, como sus antepasados, en el citado concejo de Galdames y bautizado en la mencionada parroquia de San Pedro de Galdames, el 15 de Julio de 1632. Casó con doña MarÃa Garay, a la que hizo madre de Antonio G. de Soberrón y Garay, bautizado en la misma parroquia el 16 de Enero de 1657. Este caballero abandonó la casa solariega para ir a casar a la Rioja, como, en efecto, lo hizo en la villa de Ollauri, del partido judicial de Haro, con doña Catalina caballero. En dicha villa practicó su información de nobleza, dejando al morir un hijo llamado Antonio G. de Soberrón y Caballero, bautizado en Ollauri el 25 de Febrero de 1689, que casó con doña MarÃa San MartÃn, naciendo de ese enlace Manuel G. de Soberrón y San MartÃn, bautizado en Haro el 6 de Abril de 1712. Se unió en matrimonio con doña Agustina Tubia, y tuvo estos hijos Melchor G. de Soberrón y Tubia, que sigue, e Ignacio G. de Soberrón y Tubia, bautizado en Haro el 2 de Agosto de 1739. Éstos incoaron expediente de vizcainÃa y ganaron Real provisión el 6 de Febrero de 1777. ...
