Il senato veneto nell'11 febbraio 1781 riconobbe nella famiglia Giordani il fregio della nobiltà, perché aggregata da remoto tempo al nobile consiglio di Adria. Giovanni Agostino, Giuseppe, Luigi e Francesco, di Marino e Vespasiano, di Angelo, furono confermati nobili con Sovrana Risoluzione Austriaca 28 ottobre 1823. Nessuno di questa famiglia, che risulta ancora fiorente, si fece iscrivere nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare. Altra famiglia è originaria da Roma, ove occupò cariche distinte. Luigi fu monsignore prelato, e Delegato Apostolico di Marittima a Velletri. Fu onorato della cittadinanza e nobiltà ereditaria veliterna. In seguito ottenne per se e fratelli all'infinito il Patriziato Ascolano, fu Uditore della Sacra Rota, vescovo di Filadelfia e arcivescovo di Ferrara.
