Antica famiglia parmense e oriunda da una frazione del comune di Corniglio, e dove esercitò giurisdizione feudale. Nel 1265 si trasferì a Bellagio sul lago di Como e vi restò sino al 1600 nel quale anno si trasferì a Milano. Indi nel 1633 passò a Trento e fu ascritta fra quei nobili cittadini. Si trasferì poi a S. Michele d'Adige, poi a Brescia, a Chiavari e finalmente a Genova. Al presente è divisa in tre rami: uno domiciliato a Bellagio, l'altro a Genova e il terzo a Trento. Nel 1906 un Altrasio fu crociato e nel 1118 ottenne da Addo, vescovo di Piacenza, l'investitura della signoria di Gramatica e di Graiano. Addo signore di Fontana Pradosa, nel 1225 prese parte alla Lega Lombarda. Sasso Alvise, storiografo, fu analista all'epoca della venuta in Italia di Arrigo VII di Lussemburgo.
