Linaje aragonés originario de la villa de Guaso (cuyo nombre tomó), del partido judicial de Boltaña (Huesca). Una rama fundó casa muy principal en la villa de Monzón, del partido judicial de Barbastro, en la misma provincia de Huesca, y de esta casa fué Señor y también del lugar y tierras de Gil Antonio G. y Piraces, que casó con doña María de Azcoidi Ribas y Vallabriga, en la que procreó a Gaspar G. y Azcoidi, Señor de los lugares de Enate y Gil y Familiar del Santo Oficio del reino de Aragón, que había asistido a las Cortes de Barbastro en 1626, firmando parte del Brazo Militar o de los Hijosdalgo. Fué sepultado en la capilla de San Francisco, de la iglesia parroquial de Monzón, cuyo Patronato había heredado de sus padres. Contrajo matrimonio con doña Luisa Concordia de Bardají y Bardaxí, nacida en la villa de Graus (Huesca), y fueron padres de Antonio G. y Bardaxí o Bardají, que sigue, Teresa G. Bardaxí, que continuará. Antonio G. y Bardaxí, fué Señor del lugar de Enate, en la ribera del Cinca, y de las tierras de Gil. También fué Capitán de Infantería Española en las guerras de Cataluña. Herido y prisionero, quedó retenido en Francia hasta el canje general. Fué el último varón de su familia y no tuvo sucesión por lo que vino a heredarle su hermana Teresa G. y Bardaxí, Señora de los lugares de Enate y Quadra de Santa María de Bordons, en las Pardinas de Gil, y de la casa y mayorazgo de los G. de la villa de Monzón. ...
