Jean-François Gueyffier, baron de Talairat, né en 1766, mort sans alliance en 1850, maire de Brioude pendant 40 ans, fut anobli avec titres de baron le 26 décembre 1819. Branche des Gueyffier, seigneurs de Longpré et de Lespinasse, éteinte dans les de Boisset de Torsiac. Branche des Gueyffier de Talairat, éteinte. Branche fixée à Brioude, existante au Puy.
