Algunos atribuyen a esta familia origen francés, pero es lo cierto que su solar primitivo estuvo en el lugar de Huidobro, que hoy pertenece al Ayuntamiento de Villaescusa del Butrón, en el partido judicial de Villarcayo (Burgos), y cuyo nombre tomó. Uno de sus caballeros asentó en Quecedo de Valdivielso, que pertenece al concejo de Merindad de Valdivielso, en el mismo partido judicial de Villarcayo. En dicho lugar, barrio de San Lorenzo, construyó una casa fuerte con torre, muralla, almenas, barbacana y ostentosa portada. También poseyó capilla en la iglesia parroquial. Fué familia muy importante y tuvo alianzas notorias en el Valle de Valdivielso, y fuera de él. Otros H., de cuya línea fué fundador Alonso de H., tuvieron su casa torre en el lugar de Población de Valdivielso, en el mismo Valle, en cuya iglesia parroquial tenía enterramientos, así como en el convento de San Francisco de Burgos, ciudad en la que poseyeron casas principales en la calle de Huerto del Rey, y 400 fanegas de renta en aquella comarca. Con estos entroncaron los Sáez de Incinillas y los Incinillas H., de Quecedo. En la villa de Sedano, que también pertenece a la provincia de Burgos, está extendidísima esta familia y emparentada con los Bustillo. Otra rama muy distinguida de los H. hubo en Villadiego, villa del partido judicial de su nombre, en la provincia de Burgos, y también en el lugar de Quintana del Pino, del concejo de Urbel del Castillo, en el mismo partido judicial de Villadiego. ...
