Nobility crown IbasetaAsí denominado hay un barrio en el Concejo de Ibarranguélua, del partido o judicial de Guernica, en Vizcaya. Sin embargo, los tratadistas señalan el origen de este apellido en Guipúzoca, con dos casa solares. Una, la más antigua, en las immediaciones de Zarauz, y otra en Irún. Tuvo este apellido su casa solar en Vizcaya. Muchos linajes de este apellido probaron su nobleza en las Órdenes de Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara, Montesa, (corporaciones nacidas para luchar contra los moros, cooperando a la Reconquista, y asegurar el orden, protegiendo a los peregrinos y desvalidos), Carlos III y San Juan de Jerusalén (es una orden religiosa militar fundada en el siglo XI); numerosas veces en las Reales Chancillería de Valladolid y Granada, en la Real Compañía de Guardias Marinas y en la Real Audiencia de Oviedo. Los de Vizcaya traen por armas: De plata, con un lobo de sable, andante, lampasado de gules, puesto en abismo y acompañado de cuatro panelas de gules, dos arriba y dos abajo. Bordura de este color con ocho veneras de oro. Otros traen: Partido: primero, de azur, con tres fajas de oro, y segundo, de plata, con tres veneras de gules, puestas en triángulo. Bordura general de oro, con un cadena de ocho eslabones de azur. Otros: En azur, una estrella, de oro, cargada de una merleta, de gules. ...
