Yet according to some, the Lamanna of Southern Italy descend from the Manna of Lombardy, flourishing in Cremona since 1037 and ascribed to that civic decurionate in 1134. What is certain is that, for a long time, the main residence of the noble Lamanna family has been the city of Scigliano, in the Cosenza area, in Calabria, and its noble palace was located in the Calvisi district.
