Nobility crown LaureatiAntica ed illustre famiglia di Loreto Aprutino, trasferitasi a Montescòsaro nel XV secolo da donde poi si portò in Grottammare e Porto d'Ascoli, con nobili diramazioni anche in Roma, Milano e Genova. Il primo personaggio di cui abbiamo notizia storica certa è Virgilio Laureati, fiorente nel XVII secolo. Da lui comincia la discendenza conosciuta. Con Giacomo Gioacchino Marino Camillo, signore della contrada di Selva Giurata per concessione fatta a Giacomo da Papa Pio VI nel 1790, ha inizio la residenza a Grottammare (1800). Marino (* 1800 + 17-5-1880) sposò Giulia dei Conti Lauri di Macerata (+ 2-7-1858) e fu Console del Regno delle Due Sicilie. Da Vittorio Emanuele II venne nominato Cavaliere mauriziano, durante la breve sosta fatta dal Re a Napoli. Il Re dimorò 5 giorni nel Palazzo Laureati (11-15 ottobre 1860) dove ricevette la Commissione Partenopea condotta da Ruggero Bonghi e composta da 23 notabili, fra cui Luigi ...
