Fué tronco de esta ilustre familia el nobilísimo moro Cido Alí Dordux, natural de Málaga, hijo de Alí-Dordux Hasalfad y nieto de Mahomad, Rey de Granada, llamado el Izquierdo, siendo el primero que se apellidó M. el hijo de dicho Cido Alí-Dordux, llamado Mahomad Dordux. Según Morejón, Cido Alí-Dordux era Gobernador de Málaga al tiempo de su conquista y, como tal, ajustó las capitulaciones de su entrega y dió las llaves de la ciudad. Había venido sirviendo a los Reyes Católicos como confidente que les avisaba de cuanto en aquella plaza sucedía. Por Cédula, dada en Córdoba el 4 de Octubre de 1489, le hicieron los citados Monarcas Alcaide y Justicia Mayor de todos los lugares de moros desde Villaluenga, con su serranía, hasta Maro, y con facultad para que él o sus Tenientes pudiesen conocer y juzgar todas sus causas, como lo hacían los Alcaldes cristianos. Por Real Cédula dada en Écija el 15 Febrero de 1490 y por otra de 26 de Marzo del mismo año, mandaron Sus Altezas a los repartidores de Málaga, que diesen a Cidi Alí-Dordux veinte casas en la morería, todas juntas, con una mezquita, y el horno que allí había. Conquistada Granada, pasó a ella, y entonces le mostraron los Reyes la confianza que les merecía, escribiéndole desde Tortosa una carta de fecha 24 de Enero de 1496, para que interpusiese su influencia en aplacar los ánimos inquietos de aquellos moros, y pagasen ciertos tributos con que pretendían gravar sus haciendas. ...
