Nobility crown MaltraversiL'ancienne gens italique des Marassi, originaire de Vicence, s'y divisait, avant l'an 1000, en diverses branches, qui, tout en conservant ce nom depuis le début, étaient alors spécifiquement désignées par celui du lieu, où elles possédaient des terres et un château, de sorte que ce nom de lieu est devenu plus tard leur vrai nom de famille. Parmi ces branches, la plus importante était celle du Marassi da Seratico ou Serego (aujourd'hui Sarego), qui est l'une des communes du district de Lonigo dans la province de Vicence.
