Noble y antigua familia de la ciudad de Cáller, en la isla de Cerdeña, a la que perteneció Francisco M., natural de Cáller, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Lucrecia Corella, de igual naturaleza, y en ella procreó a Antonio M. Corella, natural de Cáller, del Consejo de S. M. y su Maestro Racional de Casa y Corte en el reino de Cerdeña, que celebró su enlace con doña Ana María Nin y Sanjust, natual de Cáller (hija de Francisco Nin, Caballero de la Orden de Alcántara, y de doña Jerónima Sanjust, ambos de Cáller). De la misma casa descendió Félix M., natural de Cáller, Conde de Montalvo y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, que casó con doña Elena Manca, de igual naturaleza, naciendo de este enlace José M. y Manca, natural de Cáller y Gentilhombre de Camára de los Reyes don Carlos II y don Felipe V, que se unió en matrimonio con doña Juana de Lima y Sotomayor, natural de Ceuta. Tuvieron este hijo Félix Fernando M. de Lima, natural de Cáller, que vino a ser tercer Duque de Sotomayor, Marqués de Tenorio, Conde de Montalvo, Gentilhombre de Cámara de S. M., Grande de España, electo Presidente del Real Consejo de las Ordenes y Caballero de la de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 7 de Enero de 1754. ...
