Nobility crown MoschiniAntica famiglia, di chiara ed avita virtù, originaria del Veneto, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. L'origine di tal cognominizzazione, al dir di illustri genealogisti, andrebbe ricercata nel nome medioevale "Moschinus", appartenuto ad un capostipite di cui, purtroppo, non vi sono documenti ufficiali. In ogni modo, tal casato, verosimilmente, venne fregiato del cavalierato, in seguito alla partecipazione, connotata da coraggio ed onore, sotto i vessilli dell'ammiraglio della flotta genovese Gianandrea Doria, di un Antonio M., al celebre fatto d'armi della Battaglia di Lepanto, del 1571. Anche successivamente, inoltre, la famiglia, sempre, si distinse per gli illustri personaggi, a cui diede i natali, tra i quali, ricordiamo: Michele, dottore in "utroque jure", vivente in Venezia, nel 1564; Antonio, notaio, vivente in Venezia, nel 1572; P. Nicola, dell'Ordine dei Predicatori, vivente nel padovano, nel 1647; Gio. Antonio, autore della Storia della Letteratura Veneziana del secolo XVIII; Monsignor Gianantonio, ...
