Più probabile è forse l'ultima ipotesi, perchè nelle Cronache e negli Atti notarili appare a Venezia solo nel secolo XIII e perchè combinerebbe coll'affermazione dei Cadamosto di Lodi, che un ramo della loro famiglia si sarebbe rifugiata a Venezia, dopo che da loro città fu distrutta dai Milanesi nel 1558. Il primo ricordato è Marino in un atto del 15 dic. 1221. Quindi i membri della famiglia continuano a trovarsi ininterrottamente nei documenti e dalla fine del secolo XIII si può provare la loro discendenza. Varii di essi si distinsero e sono ricordati nelle Cronache e nelle Storie. Pietro nel 1270 conchiuse un trattato tra Venezia e Padova.
