Nobility crown PanfiliFamille patricienne romaine très ancienne, appelée Panfili ou Pamphili, originaire de Gubbio, où en 1461, avec Iacopo et Francesco, elle obtint le titre de comte du Saint Empire romain germanique, qui s'installa à Rome avec un Antonio, protégé par Sixte IV. Lorsque le neveu d'Antonio, Giovan Battista, devient pape (1644), sous le nom d'Innocenzo X, les Panfili acquièrent une place prépondérante dans la noblesse romaine, contribuant par leur grande richesse à la splendeur de la Rome du XVIIe siècle. De plus, grâce au mariage de Camillo, avec Olimpia Aldobrandini, en 1647, ils absorbèrent les fiefs et la richesse des Aldobrandini. Le dit comte Camillo (Naples, 1622 - Rome, 1666), neveu du pape Innocent X, fils de Pamfilio et Olimpia Maidalchini, fut nommé par l'oncle général de l'Église, commandant de la flotte, gouverneur de Borgo et enfin (1644) neveu cardinal. Contre la volonté de sa mère, il abandonne la pourpre (1647) ...
