Ramo dell'omonima famiglia di Cesena derivato da Martino; il qual ramo ebbe in Russi per 453 anni stabile domicilio, conservando fino ai nostri giorni lo storico castellano de' Pasolini, e passò quindi a Faenza, di cui fin dal 1371 godeva la nobiltà. Guido Pasolini, nel 1503, al tempo del Duca Valentino, persuase i Veneziani, che allora scorazzavano in Romagna e si erano impadroniti di Russi, di occupare Faenza che diceva desiderare di essere sottoposta al dominio veneto, ma non essendo riuscito nell'intento dovette ritirarsi. Alessandro di Renzo Pasolini, uomo di molta autorità, fu uno dei capi degli ottanta cittadini che nel 1509 risolvettero di sottomettere la città di Faenza alla S.
