Es lo más probable que este antiguo linaje aragonés sea orignario del lugar de Pedruel (cuyo nombre tomara), perteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Rodellar y partido judicial de Boltaña, en la provincia de Huesca. Pero donde aparece con mayor antigüedad es en el pueblo de Pilzán, del partido de Benabarre, en la misma provincia. En Pilzán tuvo casal propio y grandes propiedades, así como en los pueblos de Soler, Tolva y Caladrones, del partido de Benabarre, y en el de Estopiñán, del partido de Tamarite de Litera. Hoy está Pedruel casi destruído. Antiguamente tuvo notoria importancia. Los descendientes del casal solariego de Pilzán eran infanzones y algunos de ellos figuran en los anales de la Historia de Aragón. Juan P., residente en Pilzán y dueño del casal de sus mayores en aquel pueblo, casó en el año de 1645 con doña Martina Tallada, de la que tuvo estos tres hijos: Jerónimo P. Tallada, casado con doña Teresa Mola, que pasó a residir en la villa de Lascuarre, del partido judicial de Benabarre; José Antonio, que continuó en Pilzán al frente de su casa, murió allí en 1695, y había contraído matrimonio con doña Ana de Ossó; y Fernanda, que falleció soltera. Aumentó el brillo de este linaje y familia por el casamiento de sus individuos con señoras de casas tan principales y poderosas en Aragón como las de Lascorz y de Luna. Luis P., nieto del José Antonio citado anteriormente, casó en Benabarre, el 15 de Septiembre de 1705, con doña Margarita de Lascorz y Abarca de Bolea. ...
