Nobility crown PelacotNoblesse chevaleresque, encore representée dans la Nièvre, l'Allier et en Auvergne, remontant sa filiation suivie à Pierre, écuyer, seigneur de la Rousse, marié en 1498 à Françoise du Chassaing. Un membre de cette maison ayant été admis sur preuves de quatre générations au chapitre de Brioude dès 1490, il en resulte que sa noblesse remontait beaucoup plus haut. Substituée au XVème siècle aux de la Rousse admis eux-mêmes au chapitre de Brioude depuis 1298. Maintenue noble le 30 avril 1668, sur preuves remontant à 1527. On trouve encore sous ce nom: cinq chanoines-comtes de Brioude (1490-1604); un vicaire-général de l'évêché du Puy, chevalier de la Lègion d'honneur, nommé le 22 mars 1898 évêque de Troyes, décédé archevêque de Chambéry en 1907; un homme d'armes de la compagnie du baron d'Allègre (1467); de nombreux officiers, dont un capitaine de chevau-légers du marquis de Canillac (1628); un chef d'escadron de hussards, mort pendant la guerre de 1870; un général de division: Charles-Balthazar comte de Pélacot de la Rousse, commandeur de la Légion d'honneur (1905), etc. Belles alliances. ...
