Origin of last name Peraizza, country of origin: Italia

Nobility: Nobles
Heraldic trace of family: Peraizza
Nobility crown Peraizza Ancient and noble Italian family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The two main branches of the House flourished in Veneto and in Tuscany. In the Veneto region the family settled in Treviso. Here, this family, in all ages, always stands out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Antonio, doctor in both laws, living in Treviso, in 1496; Gio. Batta, captain of arms, flourishing in 1503; Luigi, doctor in "utroque jure", living in Treviso, in 1531; Tommaso, jurist, living in Treviso, in 1554; D. Leone, apostolic commissioner in Spain, flourishing in 1604; Martino, counsellor in Treviso, living in 1642; Bartolomeo, notary in Treviso, living in 1556; Fr Antonio, of the Order of Preachers, flourishing in 1589; Francesco, jurist in Venice, flourishing in 1632; Giovanni Battista, soldier, distinguished for honour and virtue,... To be continuedin the War of Candia; Bartolomeo, counsellor in Treviso, living in 1681; Gioacchino, doctor "in utroque jure", living in Treviso, in 1723. In Tuscany the family flourished in Florence and, according to some conjectures and heraldic reconstructions, it would be a collateral branch of the noble family Peri, very ancient in Florence, where it possessed vast and magnificent palaces. Such illustrious family was of Guelph part and many of its members intervened in 1260 in the Battle of Montaperti. It gave to the country, from 1284 to 1527, nine Gonfaloniers and fifty-nine Priors. The members of the exercised the art or the exchange and were among the wealthier foreign exchange dealers in Europe. Family names so old, without any doubt, honour not only the families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious persons.
