It is found ascribed to the Patriciate of Ravello at the time of King Charles II of Anjou with the soldier Gualtiero, familiar of said King. In the State Archives of Naples (Reg. Ang. 1308, sheet 186-7) the premise granted by the King is marked March 15, 1309 to the soldier named Gualtiero, so that from Ravello, where he was in service of the R. Corte, he could go to Siena his homeland. There is also news of Scipione di Piccolella, royal Captain in S. Pietro in Galatina, in 1473, and others of the family, relatives of Queen Giovanna in 1415.
