En forma muy vaga y escueta se nos ofrece esa noticia para que la aceptemos sin reparo y nos induzca a asignar un mismo origen y procedencia a todas las casas de este apellido. Parece más cierto que no existió comunidad de origen ni de sangre entre varias de ellas, por lo que conviene exponer con la debida separación los datos, que solamente de algunas, hemos reunido. Casas solares del apellido P. hubo en Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, Álava, Navarra, Santander, León, Segovia, Asturias, Aragón y la Mancha. En esta provincia aparece con gran antigüedad la casa solar de P., sita en la villa de Astigarraga, del partido judicial de San Sebastián, con su término redondo y asiento y sepultura en la iglesia parroquial de dicha villa.
