Forse da Quaderna, l'antica Claterna sulla romana via Emilia, traggono gli Acquaderni l'origine e il nome. La prima notizia sicura che si ha di loro rimonta al 1567, anno nel quale nacque un Marco Giovanni di altro Marco. Essi mantennero sempre la loro residenza ordinaria a Monte Calderano, comune fra i sette borghi del quale era compresa il passato Quaderna, finchè verso il principio del sec.
