A Bernardino of the Puliga family had knights in 1593; Gio. Pietro in 1646; also Gio. Tomaso in 1646; Giovanni obtained the nobility in 1673 and Giovanni Pietro in 1725. The Puliga were awarded the title comitale, a title that belongs to the descendants of Giuseppe (1828). Carlo Alberto Quigino Puliga (1900) was vice admiral in the naval army and undersecretary of state for the Italian navy.
