Nobility crown RizziniI Rizzini erano ricchi proprietari terrieri, infeudati dal Vescovo di Brescia. Le loro possessioni si stendevano in una vasta area del territorio bresciano e mantovano. Per Mantova quella dei Rizzini era famiglia nuova, oriunda da Solferino e da Castelgoffredo, ove si arricchirono come doganieri. Girolamo usò molte ricchezze, da lui accumulate, per l'acquisto di terre e beni, presso il luogo detto Guidizzolo, e casa in Mantova dai conti Custoza, dove si stabilì. Predispose quindi il proprio sepolcro entro la chiesa di San Gervasio su cui volle scritto: "Hieronimus Riccinis pro se et heredibus novissima memorans, hisce in tenebris stravit lectulum suum donec excitatur a Domino. Anno Domini MDC LXX II". Nella seconda metà del '600 la famiglia Rizzini fece un balzo enorme: il matrimonio, celebrato l'11 Giugno 1659, di Giorgio, figlio di Girolamo, con Caterina Ceresara, ultima discente del suo casato.
