Esto obedece, sin duda, a que los R. pasaron de Cataluña a Galicia. Hay casas de este linaje en Cardona, del partido judicial de Berga y provincia de Barcelona; en la ciudad de Solsona, en la de Lérida, y en la ciudad de Gerona, cuyas ramas difundieron bastante el apellido por toda Cataluña y también por Valencia, Alicante y Mallorca. Las más antiguas y puras armas del linaje y también las que generalmente han traído, son éstas: En campo de oro, un roble de sinople con el tronco atravesado por una flecha o saeta de gules. Así se ven en la sepultura del Abad R., que data del siglo XIV, en la iglesia de Santa María del Estany. Discrepan los heraldistas en el esmalte de la flecha. Unos dicen que es de sinople, otros de azur y otros de oro. Los de la rama de Solsona: Cuartelado: primero y cuarto, de oro, con el roble de sinople atravesado por la flecha de gules, y segundo y tercero, de azur, con un águila de oro surmontada de una corona y de un arco iris, y debajo de la corona cinco dados, cuatro de gules y el del centro de azur. Así figuran en el expediente de pruebas de un caballero de la Orden de San Juan. Pero las propias de los R. en ese escudo son las contenidas en los cuarteles primero y cuarto.
