Nobility crown RutiloniAntichissima e nobilissima famiglia fermana, di cui si hanno notizie fin dal secolo XIV. Riconosce quale suo capostipite un Catervo, vivente nel 1330. Dette alla patria personaggi insigni, che si distinsero nella diplomazia nella magistratura, nella milizia e nella carriera ecclesiastica. Sono da ricordare Giovanni figlio di Jacopo (n. nel 1398 circa), consigliere, più colte priore e del Consiglio di Credenza. Giovan Francesco fu podestà a Città di Castello, Todi, Ascoli, Forlì, Pesare, ecc. Giudice della Marca, priore, consigliere di Credenza, oratore a Roma, deputato ai malefici; più volte luogotenente dello Stato Pontificio; luogotenente generale e giudice ordinario delle Appellazioni in tutte le cause civili di Foligno e luoghi dipendenti, di Assisi, Nocera e Trevi. I contemporanei lo chiamarono "Vir Iurium Docto, clarissimus et eques insdignis". Morì i 14 settembre 1516. Giov. Batta, di Giov. Francesco, nacque 1501.
