Nobility crown SchierAltes Adelsgeschlecht des Furstenthums Liegnitz, wohl nach dem gleichnamigen Dorfe im Goldberger Kreise den Namen führend. Urkundlich wird zuerst 1404 und 1414 Peter V. Sch. unter den Herzogen Rupert und Wenzeslaus II. von Liegnitz erwähnt. Im Furstenthume Liegnitz finden sich ferner Bonzel V. Sch. 1447 bei der Herzogin Elisabet zu Lüben, sowie um Anfang des 16. Jahrhunderts Hans (1506) bei Herzog Friedrich II. und um Ende desselben Jahrhunderts George V. Sch. zu Koitz (Kr. Liegnitz), 1596 fürstlicher Hofjunker. Im Fürstenthume Wohlau besass das Geschlecht Tschilesen (Kreis Wohlau), WO Simon (1571), Burggraf zu Wohlau; Wen zel (1593) und Sigismund (* 1573, + 1611) erwähnt werden; letzterer erwarb auch im Kreise Glogau Tarnau und Altwasser, sowie im Kreise Lüben Gläsersdorf; auf Rausse (Kr. Neumarkt) wird 1506- - 31) Martin und 1532 Joachim das V. Sch. erwähnt. Das Geschlecht blühte noch im 17. Jahrhundert, erlosch aber gegen Ende desselben; Wappen bildet ...
