Ha goduto nobiltà in Salerno al seggio di Potaretese ed in Napoli, fuori seggio, ed ha posseduto i feudi di Cogliano, Quagliotta, Santangelo all'Esca e Vallebeneventana. Numerosi sono gli autori che hanno parlato di questa famiglia e della sua nobiltà. Tra di essi Araldo L., che nel suo Almanacco Nobiliare del Napoletano, stampato in Napoli da A. Trani, nel 1878-89 - Vol. 12 in 16°, riporta le notizie riguardanti questa illustre casata.
