La famille Senovert, Seignovert et plus correctement Senhovert a pris son nom de l'habitation et propriété de Senhovert aux portes du village de Saint-Jeure d'Ay, aujourd'hui possédé par la famille Frachon. Nous ignorons si elle descendait de noble Antoine qui épousa en 1456 Jeanne de Berberon. Avant 1650, Jean Seignovert de Royal, paroisse de Saint-Victor, fait une donation en faveur de demoiselle Isabeau de Burin, de Poyol. Le 13 novembre 1634, demoiselle Anne de "Segnouert" veuve de feu Sieur Pierre Montresse et Magdeleine "Veyranes" veuve de feu Etienne Faure dit Randit, demeurant aux lies de Beauchastel passent une quittance réciproque. Le 4 novembre 1635 demoiselle Anne Senovert passa investiture comme rentière des droits seigneauriaux de Beauchastel. Maitre Jean-Antoine, sieur de Lafayolle, avocat, épousa avant 1730, demoiselle Marianne Terrailles. En 1774 Marie-Anne de Senovert âgée de trente ans était religieuse à l'abbaye de Saint-Croix d'Annonay. Une autre famille de Senovert de la Fayolle habitait aux XVIIème et XVIIIème siècles en la paroisse de Désaignes; elle s'allia, entre autres, aux familles Escoffier, Galbert des Fonts, Gaillard, de Julien, et parait avoir la même souche que la précédente. ...
