Giorgio, già defunto nel 1659 e distaccatesi con Francesco, nato a Sondrio il 30 agosto 1842, figlio primogenito di Pietro ed Elisabetta Guicciardi, spos. a Milano, S. Babila, il I° settembre 1872 colla contessa Maria Felicita Salis (detta Rita), figlia del conte Ulisse, ultima di sua famiglia. Con R.D. 11 maggio 1922 fu autorizzato ad aggiungere al proprio il cognome Salis. Con R.D. 25 sett. 1910 e RR.LL.PP. venne concesso a Maria Felicita, detta Rita, Salis, di usare il titolo di conte trasmissibile ai suoi discendenti legittimi per ordine di primogenitura. Conseguentemente oggi il titolo comitale è portato da Cesare, figlio suo primogenito. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale a circa il XIV secolo e deve essere ricercata in quei detti arguti che venivano scritti sui vessilli ...
