Nobility crown SpitalieriFamiglia oriunda da Barcellonetta, nobilitata in persona di Onorato (nato il 10 maggio 1720; deced. il 27 marzo 1792), di Gio. Giuseppe, che fu deputato del re a consigliere del consolato con R. viglietto del 12 giugno 1766. Fu infeudato di Cessole il 23 maggio 1775 e investito con titolo comitale il 26 successivo giugno. Dalle sue nozze (1745) con Maria Goiran ebbe per figlio Giovanni (nato a Nizza, 17 settembre 1750; deced. ivi, il 10 aprile 1796), che fu padre di Ilarione (nato a Nizza, 17 dicembre 1776; deced. ivi, 11 ottobre 1845), che fu senatore a Nizza e quindi presidente capo (1833). Dalle sue nozze (1804) con Sofia Peyre di Castelnovo, ebbe per i figli Eugenio, Enrico e Carlo. Da quest'ultimo nato (nato a Torino, 24 dicembre 1807; deced. a Nizza 29 aprile 1871), ereditò dalla zia materna Delfina Peyre di Castelnovo il titolo di marchese di Castelnovo ...
