Nobility crown TolentinoFregiata del titolo comitale. E' un ramo della celebre famiglia Mauruzi di Tolentino. Giovanni fu assai caro al Duca Francesco Sforza che avea seguito nelle varie vicende, e andò con lui a Milano, e quivi si disposò ad Isotta, figlia naturale dello stesso duca, che gli concesse molti feudi, fra' quali Bereguardo che la famiglia conservò con titolo comitale fino alla sua estinzione avvenuta nel 1838. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale a circa il XIV secolo e deve essere ricercata in quei detti arguti che venivano scritti sui vessilli o bandiere dei cavalieri, esposti alle finestre delle locande in cui questi alloggiavano, in occasione dei tornei, e durante i tornei stessi.
