This had Antonio, who was a doctor of medicine and taught at the University of Bologna in January 1592. He, as professor in that university, by concession of Charles V (1513), was entitled to the title of golden knight and count of the S. Palazzo Lateran. Jacopo, his son, was born on January 20. 1580 and he was captain of the militias of his country, and in about 1651 he was added to the Fano "citizenship" with all his descendants; he too was a reader at the University of Bologna, and in their honor at the Archiginnasio, the coat of arms was painted three times their name. He had a son, Piermatteo, born 15 July 1624, who was a lieutenant and deputy captain general of civic militias. Francesco descended, born February 20. 1623, which was a doctor in utroque, and commissioner of the vicar of Mondovì; from which Pietro, born on 1 July 1693, who was captain; hence Francesco (11 April 1721), who had three children, progenitors of three different branches, namely: 1) Pompilius, n.
