Nobility crown Tour DTrès illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Bertrand, époux de Judith de Mercœur, fit hommage au roi Philippe-Auguste en 1212, et est l'auteur des diverses branches de cette maison qui a produit entre autres personnages célèbres: Bernard, évêque, duc de Langres en 1374; Henri, duc de Bouillon, maréchal de France en 1592, père d'autre Henri, vicomte de Turenne, maréchal de France en 1643, tué d'un coup de canon en 1675; un cardinal grand aumônier de France en 1671; cinq grands chambellans de France de 1658 à 1728; deux abbés de Saint-Sauveur de Redon en 1681 et 1692, le second, cardinal archevêque de Tours, puis de Vienne, mort en 1747. La branche aînée fondu en 1518 dans Médicis; la branche de Bouillon éteinte en 1802; la branche de Thouras, seule existante, a été substituée en 1710 aux nom et armes d'Apchier, et porte écartelé aux 1 et 4: de la tour d'Auvergen; aux 2 et 3: d'Apcier; sur le tout d'Auvergne. Henri, duc de Bouillon, qui pré céde maréchal de France, mort en 1623, père de Turenne, laissa d'Adèle Corret un fils naturel, Henri, duquel descendait le premier grenadier de France, tué en 1800, autorisé en 1780, à prendre les nom et armes de la Tour-d'Auvergne. ...
