Nobility crown TrevisaniAncient family of Porto S. Giorgio, but originally from Venice; is a branch of the Trevisan family, Venetian patrician. It originated in the Marche with a Lorenzo Trevisan, who in 1580 sailing the Adriatic to go to Naples was forced by the storm to descend to Porto S. Giorgio where he fixed his home. In the new homeland it became one of the main ones and was extremely munificent by building churches and other buildings and not forgetting to give the maximum impulse to commerce. To remember: Lorenzo, who lived in Naples in 1600, famous lawyer and first auditor of Msgr. Dorini in Spain, Pietro, who in the war between the Venetian Republic and Genoa, to run in aid of the old homeland, armed at the expense of a ship under the command of which he heroically died. Liberato, son of the said Lorenzo, who in 1674 built the church of S. Liberato, donating it and founding benefits and chaplaincies for the family patronage, and there he also established the noble sepulcher; he founded skills for poor spinsters. Giovanni, in 1684, built and equipped the rich church of Suffragio; he gave birth to the lineage of the counts. Antonio, from Filippino, was of exemplary life and established the rich family birthright. It seems that Francesco T. (1656, dec. 1746) was a member of this family, a talented painter of whom two good paintings are preserved in the church of Suffragio in Porto S. Giorgio. Felice, a good writer and poet, lived in the XVIII century and was the son of Francesco Maria, created count palatine and knight of the Speron d'Oro in 1703. The aforementioned Liberato had two sons: Albano, n. in 1622 and Girolamo, n. in 1624. The first-born branch moved to Fermo in the second half of the XVIII century, where it obtained the patriciate in 1769 in the person of Giuseppe Ignazio; the second-born branch remained in Porto S.
