El solar de este apellido navarro fué el Palacio de Ureta, llamado también casa de Uratorana. Estaba sito en la villa de Eneriz, del partido judicial de Pamplona. Una rama de esa casa palacio se estableció en el lugar de Zariquiagui, del Ayuntamiento de Zizur y partido judicial de Pamplona. Otra residió en el lugar de Llanteno, del partido de Amurrio (Álava). Otra fundó nueva casa en la villa de Irún (Guipúzcoa). Otra hizo su asiento en la villa de Gordejuela, del partido judicial de Valmaseda (Vizcaya). Y otra radicó en la ciudad de Burgos, de donde pasó al Perú, México y Chile. Pedro de U., residente en Italia en servicio del Rey, le convenía probar su nobleza por descender del Palacio y casa solar de Ureta, y solicitó que le fuera reconocida en el año 1549. Hizo tres probanzas, por debido, sin duda, a haber sufrido deterioros los documentos del proceso, se desconoce la sentencia que recayó. A la rama establecida en el lugar de Zariquiagui pertencía en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII, Luis de U., vecino de dicho lugar, que obtuvo ejecutoria de hidalguía dictada por los Tribunales Reales de Corte y Consejo de Navarra. Fué padre de Juan Bautista de U. y Juan Bernardo de U., vecinos de Puente de la Reina, del partido judicial de Pamplona, los cuales, en unión de Bernardo Isidoro de U., hijo de Juan Bernardo, pidieron que se les diese traslado de dicha ejecutoria en el año de 1778, lo que se mandó así. ...
