Nobility crown VaissiereHaute chevalerie de la Haute-Auvergne, répandue en Rouergue, Gévaudan, confins du Velay. Filiation: Aymeric, damoiseau (1284). Hugues, damoiseau, fut témoin d'un accord entre Guillaume de Murat et Pierre de Brezons (1304). Son petit-fils, Philippe, chevalier, seigneur de Cantoinet (1327), fut le bisaïeul de Bertrand, seigneur de Cantoinet, Sissac, Vina, etc., marié en 1474 à Helix de Cat-Cocural d'où plusieurs branches: I. marquis de Cantoinet, Candèse, l'Albaret, etc., éteints au XVIIIème siècle, avec Irène, marquise de Rochefort d'Ally, mort au château du Thiolent. II. seigneurs de Beauregard, issus de Michel, marié le 24 juillet à Anne de Blanchefort de Beauregard, maintenus le 13 février 1667; éteints. III. seigneurs de Verniolles, l'Albaret, Chilliaguet, Fabrèges, établis à Langeac, issus de Jean, écuyer, seigneur de Vergnolles, marié en 1631 à Paule de Cat de Cocural; éteints en 1781 dans les de Molette de Morangies. IV. seigneurs de la Borie en Rouergue, du Mas près Jax (Auvergne), de Lolière, Villeneuve (Forez), issus de Gaspard, écuyer, seigneur du Mas et de la Borie, marié en 1502 à Jeanne de Lastic; éteints fin XVIIIème siècle. De cette branche était sorti: Daniel, seigneur du Mas, marié au château de Monlet près Allègre, le 28 août 1632, à Marguerite de la Roque-Séverac, d'où postérité possessionnée à St-Just près Chomelix et fondue dans les de Goys de Mezeyrac. Nombreux chevaliers et hommes d'armes; des chevau-légers de la garde du Roi; des officiers, chevaliers de St-Louis; un maréchal de camp des armées du roi, grand'croix de St-Louis; un page du roi (1721), etc. Inscrite à l'armorial de 150. Maintenue en Auvergneles 19 mars et 28 avril 1668. Très belles alliances. ...
