Virgil, his brother (born in 1599, dec. 1654), was an elegant writer in Latin and Italian; he wrote various dramas which were performed in Warsaw, where he had moved and where Ladislao, king of Poland and Sweden, in 1604 appointed him his secretary of state for the affairs of Italy; ambassador to Philip IV, king of the Two Sicilies. The family is registered in the Official Italian Noble List with the title of patrician of S. Severino (mf.), And is represented by Antonio, n. S. Severino 4 March 1901, of the late Valentino (20 Sept. 1862, deced. 26 July 1907) and Francesca Rotelli. Other news, of this family, are reported in the roll of honor of the noble families V. Spreti.
