Nobility crown VaralliAntica ed assai nobile famiglia piemontese, conosciuta come de Varallo o Varalli, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Sulla sua origine vi sono due differenti ipotesi: l'una vuole che essa sia un ramo della nobilissima famiglia Caccia il quale fu dapprima detto Varallo Pombia, in virtù del feudo omonimo in suo possesso, e poi più semplicemente Varallo, l'altra che essa discenda dai signori di Varallo Sesia. Più accreditata appare la prima ipotesi. Fu infatti presentato, per il decurionato Novarese, un albero genealogico che attaccava questa con la linea di Varallo Pombia e, precisamente con Bartolomeo, di Giovanni, e fu approvato (1759 idi di maggio) e stampato. Ma, ripreso in mano, fu revocata l’approvazione (1760, 15 marzo) pur attestandone l’antica nobiltà (1761, 18 febbraio).
