Reynier, chevalier, eut pour fille: Ermengarde, abbesse du noble chapitre de Blesle en 1263. Guillaume fut témoin, en 1278, d'un traité entre Beraud, sire de Mercœur et Aymar de Poitiers, comte de Valentinois. Guillaume II, seigneur dudit lieu, épousa l'héritière de la maison de Chabreuges, dame dudit lieu et de Frugères près Brioude (1345-1352). Agnès était abbesse de Blesle en 1350. Parmi les illustrations de cette maison on signale deux chanoines-comtes de Brioude, l'un d'eux, official de ce chapitre (1291-1340). Nous regrettons que l'absence de plus amples informations ne nous conduise pas plus avant dans le passé, car tout indique que nous y trouverions les témoignances d'une origine plus reculée qui pourrait bien aller se souder à l'une des races puissantes qui firent la gloire et la force du moyen-âge. ...
