A brother of the pastor Konrad Karl Friedrich was Christian Wilbrandt (1801-1867), professor of philosophy at the University of Rostock and Liberal politician. Sons of the latter were the former Reichstag member Konrad Wilbrandt, born in 1832 and the poet Adolf Wilbrandt, born in 1837.
