Nachdem diese Familie immer sehr wohlhabend geblieben war, gründete sie im Auftrag von S. Stefano das Priorat der Romagna und brachte verschiedene angesehene Männer hervor, darunter Tommaso Bischof von Fiesole im Jahre 1620; Roderico colonnelo im Dienste Bayerns schuf den Marquis d'Esche; Nicolò, Sebastiano. Anderer Zweig. Der aus Spanien stammende Don Rodrigo Ximenes war 1638 der Konservator von Rom. Seine Nachkommen Giuseppe und Ferdinando beantragten und erhielten mit einer Senatus-Konsultation vom 17. Juli 1775 die Wiedereinstellung in den römischen Adel. Die Familie wurde als Waffe erzogen: rot, mit zwei Schwertern Niedriges Silberdekussat, garniert mit Gold, in der Mitte von zwei goldenen Säulen, die jeweils von einer Lilie derselben gekrönt sind. In den Notizen der Ceramelli Papiani-Sammlung im Staatsarchiv von Florenz lesen wir: "Familie aus Portugal, die Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts in die Toskana kam.
